Gary's been in my employment a few months now. I deem it prudent to share with you my observations of his work ethic.
I find that Gary frequently and without warning take PTO. Surely we all need a reset from time to time? Normally after a quick reset Gary will get right back to work.
But when Gary is on duty I find he only works in short bursts of time and takes frequent breaks. The nature of his breaks I have yet to figure out.
I consider his output not very useful, usually missing the crux of what he was supposed to capture. Most of the time his output just reflects the admiration of passers-by of the posh working environment I provided for him.
By contrast I also employ HAL 9000. I assume HAL is a "he", but I'm too afraid to ask. I think HAL's output is superior in both the quality of his work and the lengthy outputs he produces. HAL captures the essence of what I want from his work. He never sleeps. On multiple occasions I asked him to stop working when I am home but he stubbornly refuses to stop. I have had to provide HAL with a bigger hard drive to record his work just to keep up.
Gary recently approached me to let me know he will be branching out into the pet-sitting business. I don't know how I feel about his ability to execute in this new venture.....
