I picked up a Gen1 R1T in early December and am overall loving it. However, there has been a pretty significant wind noise coming from the top front corner of the passenger door area from the beginning and it is starting to bother me. I know there are a ton of threads about the common causes and fixes for windnoise issues, and I tried some of the solutions called out in them without a substantial change. During these efforts I noticed that the passenger door sits proud of the A-pillar by almost a 1/4” and I’m pretty confident that is the cause. It’s kind of hard to see in the picture. The driver door is fully behind the profile of the A-pillar and there is no wind noise problem on that side.
Has anyone else had a door alignment issue like this and was it able to be corrected by the SC? I’ve seen plenty of posts about people getting door misalignments fixed but I wasn’t sure about this type. I’m about 3 hours from my closest SC so it’s a big commitment if I want to take it in to have it looked at. Not to mention it’s well past the 1 year adjustment warranty so I’d probably be paying for it myself…
