I have the same experience. Installed an early GOAT slider (5 mounting points) and yes the passenger side rear most 5th bolt is giving me problems. It already stripped two of the bolts that came with the sliders (about 1/4" from the edge). I brushed and compressed air into the holes prior. Is it too late to use a thread chaser and have to tap and die now?

Related question - for regular driving, how bad would it be to not have a bolt in there while I figure this out. Its not a structural bolt, is it?

As others have said, chase it with the appropriate tap and be done 😉

While you obtain a tap, the slider isn’t going anywhere with that one bolt missing.

I agree - the sliders are not going anywhere.

I was more concerned about not having a bolt back there at all. These arent structural bolts to the vehicle, are they?

No clue. But I would think whatever that bolt secures isn't being held in place by just that one.

I would assume the bolts are structural. Rivian did not add these bolts for our aftermarket sliders.

good point. welp - I guess we'll see what happens as the truck gets driven without it.
