My RX400h went 160,000 miles before I elected to replace the brakes. I would think regenerative braking should ensure the pads last 80-160K using single foot braking (ie. primarily regenerativeI have power stop on all my other cars. I've looked through the whole Brembo database and just haven't been able to locate the rotors.
Your Lexus weighs how much? R1 weighs how much? Different beasts. Different engineering and different management of brakes. My RX400h went 160,000 miles before I elected to replace the brakes. I think his math is not calculated based on how many times you apply the brakes on an ICE car versus an EV, even if it does weigh as much as an F250 Diesel Truck. They don't burn through brakes.I think you are right but I am not sure when to expect them to need replacement....any consensus
A dual motor with open diffs or a quad motor… redneck mechanic here thinks the tools are built into the vehicle with the right software. (Just kidding)Rivian won't turn the rotors, said they don't have the tools so they want me to buy new ones. $1200 just for the rotors.
