No idea how my order got so moved up!

12/18/21 - Ordered

12/28/21 - Rivian Update: “Your Adventure Package R1T estimated delivery window will be the second half of 2023.”

5/1/22 - First Mile Drive

6/11/22 - Rivian Update: Your Adventure package R1T estimated delivery window is December 2022 - January 2023.

8/24/22 - Received Email: Your configuration is ready to confirm.

8/25/22 - Call with Rivian Guide to update address. Confirmed Order
-He said 10 weeks max. Could be much shorter

8/25/22 - VIN Received. 109XX

8/25/22 - Rivian Guide: it’s in Normal, IL at the factory. Likely getting finishing touches. Typically 4-8 weeks to ship and get to me

I’ll update this as more steps happen. I’m 4/8 steps through the portal. Waiting on final payment, financing finalization and Insurance until a delivery date is confirmed. (As recommended by Rivian Guide)

I’m going on 32 days now of my R1S at the service center waiting for delivery, and 30 days at 7/8 steps. I saw several items marked to be fixed, but nothing looked major enough to cause such a delay.

9/21 Pre-order date. Limestone, black interior. I’ve been assigned a guide and started the 8 step process. I’m showing an assigned VIN but I need to sell my current truck. I have no idea how fast/slow I need to do that process. What’s everyone been averaging once you have a VIN assigned?

My guide was assigned on 9/17 and got the VIN # on 9/17. Delivery team contacted me on 9/21. My delivery is scheduled on 9/29. Once I heard from my guide everything went fast. I had to scramble to get everything ready. I thought I would have a little more time but once I was contacted they were ready to deliver.

Similar experience. Lock config, guide and VIN on 9/17. 9/26 my service center contacted to arrange delivery, could pick up as early as 9/28. But I had not arranged financing yet, since I thought I had a couple weeks at least still. Delivery scheduled for 9/30.

Same situation here. VIN assigned and 8 Steps opened up 11/13. Delivery step still locked. I am in Dallas.

Wow that was quick! Hope mine is that quick, would like to take delivery this year. I got my VIN on 12/13 and have finished 6/8 steps. Guide said the truck was built and at the factory. Just waiting for it to ship to Denver.
