I vote that we all use @COdogman 's referral code. He wins for being the most entertaining, informative, supportive, and all around most decent chap in the whole community. He deserves to go to that Rivian weekend event far more than any YouTuber or Influencer (although considering that those will be his company for the weekend, I totally understand if he politely declines the invite)

I think it's a few different things, predominately to ensure that the individual knows where they are being delivered to and that it has nothing in the middle. QR codes are opaque that way. Probably some copywrite stuff too.

I'm just guessing here as I'm not involved in the policy.
