Santiago Peak off roading to send off the stock pirellis at 25k miles aired down to 32psi and was a little nervous for for punctures at first due to the tread depth but it all worked well.

The shape of the hatches might help, unlike highlander and most SUV, Rivians have a pretty vertical/flat trunk so they open more flat so they need a little less clearance.

I don't think the R1 even has a position sensor for the hatch. I believe it stores position in memory based on how long the actuators were moving. I've had times when the hatch was opened partially, then went to sleep, then when i closed it, it slammed itself shut instead of slowing down at the...
