Forgot to add - confirmed polarity of the horn wiring - green is positive. The receptacle of the horn is labeled

This is very helpful...I'm trying to find this connector to build a harness for dual after market horns.

After closer inspection it turns out that the connector is a Deutsch 2 pin... thankfully its pretty common for aftermarket LED light bars.

Im going to experiment with this harness that diode dynamics already makes

Yeah I have a couple on order...hoping that the wire gauge and pin size match the oem harness well enough.

As of right now I have some male pig tails coming as well... so it in theory should be as simple as plug and play but still remains to be seen

No splicing needed at all which was awesome. Interesting find for me was that the horn was located on the passenger side of the wheel well. Was in such a tight spot that I had to go through the wheel well liner to disconnect the harness and attach the harness. I have relatively small hands and had trouble even being able to touch the connector from the top side. Ended up running the new harness all the way over to the driver side wheel well since that seemed like the only spot to mount the horn. Probably better having a horn on both the passenger and drivers side.

Where is the second horn supposed to mount when it came from the factory? Is there a reason no one uses that location?

I think originally there was one driver side and one passenger. As mentioned in the post above, the passenger side is so tight that it is very difficult to mount a new horn in that location.
