It looks as if your Rivian might have functional issues unrelated to Connect+ itself. Perhaps have Rivian look at your vehicle.
I myself use ACC only, if at all, never Connect+. The fact that it is very limited as to where it can be used notwithstanding, the two times I used it I found it extremely dangerous and unreliable; one time it swerved into the passing lane suddenly and for no apparent reason. The other time, it could not stay lane-centerd; while keeping inside the lane, all right, it struggled to stay centered wandering back and forth within the lane edges thus begging for a cop to initiate a traffic stop. Nooo, thanks.

Looks like yours is broken too. I've spent thousands of miles on it without any of that. It can't handle odd situations like construction of course (Tesla AP can), but doesn't do anything crazy with well marked normal roads.

I think it is okay. It's just the way it is.
I tried it quickly a couple other times and it seemed to behave as expected then.
Having both my Teslas with full FSD spoils you and makes you realize how woefully inferior and gazillion light years away Rivian ADAS is behind Tesla FSD.

Speaking of which, Tesla FSD is excellent. Until it is not. Reason why I stopped using it also. It is because I was always paying attention using it that I greased-lightning quickly intervened and took over FSD last time on the highway. And lived to tell that story by the grace of me. No, thanks.

Sounds like you need to get your truck looked at. I've used Highway Assist on my Gen1 for every road trip I've taken. While it could certainly use work it'll never get now than Gen2 is out, it's still damn good on the roads that are actually mapped. My biggest complaints are the random stretches of road that ought to be mapped, but for some reason a couple hundred yards is missing from the data and the truck abruptly cancels the system until mapping data is available again. Also, never trust a mapped-only system in a construction zone...ever, especially if lane shifts are involved. But HWA really allows covering big miles pretty easy and I just got back from a 2400 mile road trip over the holidays that along with being able to use Tesla SCs was just plain easy.

The matrix headlights and improved ADAS keep me thinking about replacing my Gen 1. Otherwise, I am happy as can be.
Forgot to mention the headlights! They work great but they did get confused in some of the heavier rain, and I got the "Auto high beams unavailable" warning a few times. Outside of that they've been solid.

Thanks guys.. will get this checked out by service. But I will say I talked to a neighbor with a Gen 1 R1T who has similar random errors and just watched a review with a Gen 2 R1T and saw similar random ADAS unavailability/malfunction so I truly believe there is something fundamentally wrong with ADAS implementation in these cars

Another interesting thing mine did last time i used it was a message saying "Lanes to narrow, please take control" mind you this was on a highway I use it on regularly and never displayed in this location before. When I tried to re engage it I got a message saying "Not available until next trip" Anyone ever seen that one?

I have a Gen 1 and in almost two years of driving, think the only time I've seen a "sensor error" was one time when they were (very obviously) covered in snow & ice. As someone else said, I'd get yours checked. Could be an issue with a wiring harness or something similar. Try to document each time you get an error and which sensor it is; may help Rivian with troubleshooting. Good luck!
