I am not a subscriber to Connect+. I understood the deal from the beginning.

My enjoyment of the truck has remained the same. Bluetooth is always connected, Spotify streams easily, maps and information still work without the subscription.

Go adventure my friends. We don’t need
much connectivity.

I was just wondering if anyone else thought that the language or tone as to how this statement was made did it sound arrogant or overbearing to you? Here is the quote

“We have been really very clear since day one that connectivity was offered as a free trial for our customers and that it eventually would be paid.”

my “ beef”
is when you announce the crome cast info display videos content with the Connectability in the May announcement.
why are we still waiting and we’re more than willing to pay for that?
I mean, really I subscribed to the service and found out it was a no go, and it was a waste of my effort and subscription which I had to cancel with the Chromecast
There is a song out there called “Let it go, let go.” My house does not have free internet and it cost a lot more than my R1T.

I wasn't even following Rivian news before about a month ago, and I've known for *years* that this is what Rivian has always said. I think they've been extremely consistent and transparent about that.

Not suddenly. It's been this way since the trial ended, and it was clearly stated this would be the case.

Because satellite view requires a significantly larger amount of data.
And more importantly, Rivian has to pay to license the use of the satellite image info.

Makes sense. Was just wondering, as it didn’t revert until I changed the view a day or so ago and then couldn’t get sat view back today. But not reading or not remembering- totally on me.

If our customers could read, they would not be really upset!



Of course I can read, and Wassym's response is ambiguous, such that the Connect+ trial could end before they released these new features.
After all the issues with Apple Music bugs, it's exactly what they should do.

I can honestly understand both perspectives on this. In one camp, folks don’t want to have yet another subscription after they paid 70k+ for a vehicle. On the other hand, the hotspot alone is worth the $15 a month IMO.

My T is subbed but my wife has chosen not to sub the R1S. Heck my wife doesn’t even listen to music in the car unless it’s the Christmas season so she is fine without it so far.

she does listen to podcasts from time to time but in that case she just streams via Bluetooth.
