Hi Robert,

Is there an issue with your adapter? We are here to help and troubleshoot with you.
Could you please explain : "I regretted it"?

Let us know, we truly for every single customer.

Thank you.
No I don’t regret my adapter. I was responding to someone who is anti third party adapters and felt my reply was too rude. Glad I bought your product

Anyone else having issues with plug and charge not working? My credit card is stored and it used to work in the past🤷🏻‍♂️.

This is one occurring on my new R1T btw. My R1S doesn’t have the issue. Any ideas?

Same Supercharger? If so, probably handshaking glitch between Rivian and Tesla. Initiate session with Tesla app instead. If that doesn't work, unplug, try a full reset and retry.

I can initiate the charge using the Tesla app but that’s the whole point of plug and charge- to not have to use any apps.

Like a few taps on a phone is going to kill you? Point is to have the app as backup, and help troubleshoot through process of elimination. Do you want to solve a problem or do you just want to cry and keep crying about it?

Who is crying? Your “solution” is just going back to using the Tesla app which, again, defeats the purpose of plug and charge.
Thanks for the super helpful tip!

Did you try a reboot of the Rivian? That is usually what I do if some odd behavior pops up, it usually resolves the issue.

What we have here is a failure to comprehend.

The solution is NOT to use the app from here on. The solution is to try the app and see if it works. If it doesn't work, then you know the issue is probably your car, not Tesla's or Rivian's back-end communication/billing process. At that point, you try a full reset and retest.

And if the Tesla app works, then you know there is nothing wrong with the car. And the problem is probably a fluke failure to complete handshake between Tesla and Rivian (and your billing account). Now that you know the Tesla app works, you know in situations like this you could use the Tesla app—as plan B—to obtain charge and not be stranded or have your trip interrupted.

Got it??
