Mine just clicks when pushing the button and then I have to open it manually.

I know it seems minor and stupid.... But, I got the truck last week and have loved it. I tried to pop the gate open and I had to nudge it to get it down. Not a deal breaker and I really don't want to make a ticket, has anyone else found a quick fix for this?
Same here. I'll ask them to fix when they replace my powered tonneau cover.

The spare tire right side latch not engaging is a common issue. The only fix is to press down first on the latch that isn't engaging. This annoying as it's usually the right and the release mechanism is on the left. If you open and close the tailgate a bunch without the ride side latch engaged the tailgate and tire cover will rub right near the latch, exacerbating the problem.

My tailgate cables are also uneven so when the tailgate is down all the weight is on one cable.
My tailgate cables are also uneven. Is this by design?

Funny enough, a customer came to my wash today and he picked his up last Friday. I was looking at his and the same thing is happening to his. We kinda joked about it but that may just be a thing by design.

No. I had mine fixed at the SC. One was totally slack, which isn't a good look.

I got to looking at my spare tire cover last night when I was grilling outside. the cover does not want to close on the right side at times. I slowly let the cover down last night and pressed it firm but didn't slam it. That seemed to do the trick. It latched both sides down and was flush then. I may stop popping that cover up to show people when they ask about the truck. In all I am still finding features I didn't know existed so I didn't want to submit a ticket till I had a list or found the work arounds I can deal with. Closest SC is 4 hours away so I don't want to add to the mayhem until I can justify the trip and their time.
The right side of my spare cover also stuck up a bit more than the left when I first got it. It kind of caught on the tailgate as I closed it right at the end.

I ended up unintentionally fixing mine by filling the truck full of sand bags and I guess the weight fixed the slight warp enough to even it out.

Same, totally slack, so weird. I just added it to my string of annoying fixes I am dropping off my truck for on Tuesday....

Dredging up an old thread… my ’23 T has all of the above issues. Every T I’ve seen in person so far - and all the ones I’ve seen in videos, drop the tailgate when the button is pushed. Mine doesn’t. Also have the slack in the left gate cable, and the the right side of the spare wheel well cover that needs to be latched by hand.

The hood is obviously crooked - and needs to be adjusted. There are witness marks. Tried to get the SC to straighten that - even said I was willing to pay for it. Guess I’ll try one of the local certified body shops.

Mentioned all this to the people at the SC - nothing happened. They told me “that’s normal”. Next time one of the advisors (or whatever they are) says that, I’m going to look them in the eye and say “Normal is where the truck is made. This is not normal."

Thing that pisses me off more than the little quirks is the inability to get parts. The plastic piece at the top of the gate obviously has broken clips (and it’s pretty banged up). All the plastic trim under and behind the passenger side gear tunnel - including the front of the wheel arch has broken clips. I don’t see the trim hanging out until I open the rear door. I’d happily buy all those parts new if I could get them.

I had to beg and plead just to get 2 wiper blades from the Gaithersburg SC. I also managed to get 2 or 3 of the plastic bits that hold the cover - a few were missing when I bought the truck.

Guess I’ll just keep searching the internet until some undamaged trim bits show up.

Also need a metal clip for one of the aero covers.

I don’t like broken or damaged parts on my vehicles. Parts should be readily available.

There is no fix. The tailgate release is just a release. There is no mechanism where it pushes away from the truck to drop down. If I am on level ground or facing uphill, the tailgate generally drops. Otherwise a gentle pull will cause it to lower...

My tailgate has always dropped on its own when on a flat surface. Recently, the right side tailgate latch system broke and needed mobile service to fix.

After the fix (latch replacement), the tailgate no longer drops on its own, it requires a little nudge to clear the latch before it starts dropping. I assume the replacement latch was positioned just slightly differently.

The mobile service rep mentioned this was happening and said that it could clear on its own after a few open/close cycles, but if it doesn't that I could schedule another mobile service to adjust it.

Frankly, it doesn't bother me much at all and I'll see if I end up caring enough to call it in.
