  1. Ever seen a ghost car? One with no history until ~40K?

Rivian can email you all the info they have on the vehicle. Owner info will be redacted - but you’ll get all the truck info for everything done by Rivian.
  2. Tailgate not popping open with button

Dredging up an old thread… my ’23 T has all of the above issues. Every T I’ve seen in person so far - and all the ones I’ve seen in videos, drop the tailgate when the button is pushed. Mine doesn’t. Also have the slack in the left gate cable, and the the right side of the spare wheel well cover...
  3. New Rivian Space showroom coming to DC (1100 New York Ave. NW near CityCenter)

It'd be nice if there was a service center somewhere between Gaithersburg and Sterling... 4,000 plus sq ft of retail, and other than "gear" or a vehicle, there isn't much reason to go there.
  4. New R1 (R1S / R1T) Maintenance Schedule

I don’t mind having the brake fluid changed every 3 years. The motorcycles get new brake fluid every year. I wouldn’t mind a little goodwill now and then... Receipt is from the Gaithersburg SC.
  5. R1T 12v battery replacement every 2 years?!

Truck build date 3.13.23 - battery replaced “proactively” (according to Rivian) 3.17.25. I bought the truck 12.25. When I got in the truck today to install the update, the 12v battery icon showed up on the dash - in yellow. It disappeared after the update - which, of course, leaves me wondering...
  6. Added 12v outlet to R1T bed.

A little late to this party - just got the truck in December. Thank you very much for the write up and pix, Curtis. I kept a slightly smaller ICECO in the back of the Forester for years. The ICECO was connected to the 12v outlet on an EcoFlow River 2 Pro that was plugged into the 12v outlet...
  7. How To: Driver's door panel and exterior door handle removal (Gen 1)

Ian - thank you very much for the write up and videos! I hope I never need to deal with this particular problem - but very good to have the information. The black stuff under the white panel looks like butyl tape (it is very sticky) - what's usually used to hold the relatively thin piece of...
  8. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

I don’t know if the problem is the ChargePoint or the R1T. Got the 60 amp breaker, #6 THHN cables, but the T charges at 40 amps - adds 25 miles or range per hour according to the truck. The amp draw reading on the THHN is 47 amps. ChargePoint and truck both set to 48 amps - which should add 36...
  9. Slow Charging/Warm Plug on Rivian Home Charger

Thank you very much for posting this, Bruce. Caught this thread just in time to avoid making the same mistake. Got the ChargePoint Flex - just waiting for a few reasonably warm days to install.
