I have the holiday update. Noticed since updating, the map is very slow, like actually unusable. Other UI element also have an unacceptable amount of delay. Reminds me of my old iPad Pro that’s getting slower and slower with each software update. I used to be able to pan and zoom fluidly to find chargers along my route. It was almost as good as Tesla. Now it’s behaving like a GM infotainment system. Is it just me?

R1S Gen 1, same issue. Pinch to zoom nearly unusable. Also, laggy UI generally.

Also, Amazon music now skips 10 seconds ahead instead of next song with steering wheel controls - very annoying.

Check again. This was fixed a few days ago (no software update required).

I noticed this too, even after resetting. The next update .51 is supposed to be one focused on bugs and general improvements, so I’m hoping it’ll resolve the slow UI.

Switching between screens has a bit of a lag, but it hasn't been an issue. I'm going to do a soft reset.

A soft reset mostly solved the problem with the Map. I still think the UI is too slow. I would be happy if Rivian fixes this.

Here is a data point. I had my gen 1 in for service and they replaced the 12v battery. That means everything was shutdown. When I drove away at pickup it was a whole new UI again! Like insanely quick with every single screen. I was so startled I emailed the advisor how nice it was.
It’s back to slow now. Likely a memory leak of sorts and a soft restart doesn’t help.
I may try a hard reset next. But there is promise there. It was sooooo speedy!!
