Software Update 2023.38 Release Notes ?

Looking forward to some of these new updates. As for the Halloween features, there is no reason they couldn't have had the Halloween portion of the update already in the current firmware. Just have the option for the feature enable by date. October 1st rolls around the option surfaces.

I agree that the Halloween mode could have been already installed with previous updates and enabled by date, however, Rivian may be changing some things up with it. Possibly additional options? Different settings? Different implementation?

I am looking forward to see what may be different from last years, especially since I didn't get to experience it last year.

I'm from Seattle - I suspect many folks would pay $100 (or more!) for Seahawks mode.

This is exactly the kind of feature that would be perfect for a subscription.

There are licensing issues with that and it would probably cost more than it would make. I'm willing to bet most Rivian owners aren't the sort who spend money on NFL stuff. Maybe worth it for the lightning but not Rivian.

But I do agree that mass appeal holiday sort of stuff would be a money maker. I'd pay for that.

I have Bills season tickets "NFL Stuff" and tailgate with the Rivian pregame. Always end up giving at least one tour of the R1T and answer all the questions... How do you charge it, how far can it go? does it tow? I heard these things catch fire... and my favorite "Yeah it's a Rivian but who makes it?"
To your point I wouldn't spend much on Bills theme mode but if free I'd rock it on Sundays.

Hopefully Rivian doesn't feel their customer base is as limited as you see it. If so....the conquest of Subaru and Prius/Tesla 3-Y owners can only go so far.

Work around on the licensing is let me adjust my LED lighting colors and upload a file for the lock and unlock sounds.

personally i think it wont be today.. any major updates on Friday means potential overtime for developers if anything go wrong.

Our Lightning has very good infotainment software AND AA/CarPlay so it's not like it's an either/or situation.

I am pretty happy with my Mach E as well. The built-in nav and trip planning is much better than Rivian, and if I choose to, I can plan using Apple Maps as well, including charging stops. I was driving it yesterday and was able to hear a text and do a voice reply, without being distracted, or having to look at my phone.

Does the Ford screen look as pretty as the Rivian? No. Is it as responsive as the Rvian? No. Does it have Halloween mode? No. Does it provide some better functionality? Yes.

While I haven't owned a Mach-E since March, the factory infotainment system was rather lackluster, and didn't offer any other services compared to what Rivian was offering. If you take AA/CP out of the equation, it's far inferior compared to Rivian's platform.

Looking forward, all the services that could be added to the Ford system will be hindered by the crippled processing system included with the Ford systems, and also the low resolution, vertical, displays.
