Second Attempt - Fast shop access!

I think it is reasonable to want the pace and timing they advertise on their website. I also think it is reasonable to think that all customers should be treated equally.

Seems like everyone here disagrees. It says a lot about you all that you think it is okay for customers to be mislead by companies, and that it is okay to give some customers preferential access.

I am out.

It's okay for companies to have fine print details on things like this. You did read the asterisk right?

Scheduled delivery for my R1T on 6/9. They wanted me to get it today, but I just transferred funds and need a few days for it to clear. Can't wait. Any advice on what to look out for or are those checklists available on the forum still accurate?

Cheers to you! Checklists are still good. Take a peak in the spare wheel well and check for water/dirt/debris. It won't hurt anything, it's just fun to embarrass them.

Another update:

While waiting for funds to be available, I went to the delivery center because the Venice location said it's there. Our guide is OOO, but one of the gentlemen that helped with our first mile drive let me peruse the lot to find our truck. Found it waiting.

FYI for those with a second order. I ordered my first in 2020. Got that vehicle in March. My second order was in July 2022. I got the email to configure my vehicle a month ago but I've been waiting for the dual motor to release. I asked about getting Shop access and was told by Rivian that those with second orders (or more) will not get priority to Shop access and have to wait for those with their first orders to cycle through.

R1T has been picked up and goodness, such an easy delivery process, such friendly folks and what an experience and what a vehicle. This is a winning combination of everything right. Seamless.
