Good to know, thank you!Check the Settings of each app (from iPhone Settings) and make sure the setting is flipped on to allow Network access. I've tried a bunch of apps and they all work. So, if YouTube is casting from your phone (i.e., you don't mean using the built in app in the vehicle) you've got it all going except maybe that setting on specific apps.
If/when(and I truly believe it's a WHEN not an IF) the Netflix and AppleTV+ security concerns get resolved such that they work the same as all the other apps work today - would your opinion change? The main reason for using this app would have been for Netflix and Apple TV+, but alas it doesn’t seem to work, so while it maybe nice to show some photos on, otherwise, the app doesn’t have a lot of use. Thanks for trying. Has anyone got VLC to cast? I cannot seem to get it to work.
Just curious - which IPTV app is it? The ones I usually use don't support casting. From what I experienced thus far, as long as the client (app) can be enabled for ”Local Network” access, casting works. I have an IPTV client that was not working at first and when I enabled local network access on my iPhone within settings for the IPTV app it works. I did the same for Amazon Prime.
Smarters Player Lite and I just enabled local network access for GSE IPTV and it too prompts for casting but I still need to play around a bit more with this one. Smarters Player just works.Just curious - which IPTV app is it? The ones I usually use don't support casting.
For Smarters Player you need the premium, $1.99 fee.Smarters Player Lite and I just enabled local network access for GSE IPTV and it too prompts for casting but I still need to play around a bit more with this one. Smarters Player just works.
I'm on android and have "iptv smarters pro". It looks very much like "iptv smarters lite" used to look to me. Although technically neither pro nor lite are available on google play store anymore. Although there are dozens of apps with very similar names(and icons), but don't work very well. It's very confusing! Not even sure if upgrading to "premium" within the "pro" app will get me casting! For Smarters Player you need the premium, $1.99 fee.

Yes you have to be parked. Tesla is also same. You cannot stream anything when in drive. Safety hazard.Wait. I’m confused by this. This app relies on the latest update that still needs you to be parked, right? Am I missing something?
Also, this…
Interesting. I found that I could navigate YTTV controls via the touchscreen. That being said, it was a bit laggy/buggy and worked better from the phone. I'm on a Google pixel fyi. YouTube (not TV) also was a little finicky for the controls, but great once you got where you needed to be.Tried Youtube TV using Connect+ cast to center display, but you can’t navigate the app via the display.
If you sincerely think that:So, your argument is that if other people can do stupid things, you should be allowed to do stupid things as well?
If you sincerely think that a movie playing on the center screen is not a distraction, then I can only conclude you're lying to yourself. Do you really believe that there's nothing that could happen on that screen or on the audio track that would draw your eyes away from the road, even for a split second? And the fact is that movies are designed to get and keep our attention. For the most part, on most roads and on most drives, there's nothing outside the windshield that can compete with that.
Yeah, you have a right to be stupid, but you don't have a right to endanger others by your stupidity. So even if you really believe you are superior and can drive safely at all times with a movie playing, that's absolutely not true for most people and *I* don't need those people endangering *my* safety.
