I was able to locate the applique on the highway today....
Looks like no clips were used at all even though there are holes on the roof for it, the applique just has some foam stickers over the clip points. Seems really bad to have the RTV to be the sole attachment material doing double duty as a waterproofing seal and load bearing attachment.

Unreal. I feel for ya man. I'd be losing my $hit on them. I get they have to get vehicles out the door, but seriously....... for folks in your position they should be making these things a priority and quickly righting the wrong. A reputation of hot garbage service can only hurt them mightily. Wonder if they have a customer experience/success exec.

I've got a remote service scheduled here in a couple weeks for minor fixes, but I'm seriously going to stand there the entire time and watch their every move.

I put in a request to have my roof glass replaced about a month ago. I requested that it be done at the Richmond VA service center because its convenient since I have an office in Richmond that I occasionally go to. Seeing this makes me nervous about the repair. I'm starting to wonder if I should sell my truck now and wait patiently for my max pack order to be built(hopefully better).

The way it was explained to be was the bolts that attach the halfshafts were the cause of the creaking because they don't hold torque spec, not hard enough material? So a new bolt revision was introduced in the manufacturing line and those bolts were updated on mine and solved the issue.

Heartbreaking news of yet continued production failure and even more shocking is the SC also causing QC issues, requiring return visits. Thank goodness when the piece flew off it didn't hit the motorcyclist.

I'm thinking of making the jump, however - I have other vehicles for the time in the SC. I'm fine with growing pain issues as a start-up. It's increasingly clear is more than basic build issues.

I'm taking note, that if you see a higher mileage used truck, don't buy it, could be a bad build and flipped, providing another poor experience for the 2nd eagerly happy owner.

What does 100% QCD really mean? I’m sure they were looked at more closely, and Rivian was checking how good they thought their build process was, doesn’t mean they don’t have any issues. The employee vehicles may be having problems also, most of them probably have NDAs about their issues. Some problems don’t pop up until you have a larger sample size to analyze.
