Thatâs not really a fair comparison given how hideous the EV9 looks in person and the dated nature of the X. I mean, either youâre in the market for a used X (cheap), donât want to pay the premium for AWD (RWD EV9) or you go with the R1S.- cardad

While I will take bikes on a tailgate pad over any other rack option (I have 5 hitch racks) every time, you might consider a hitch + tailgate pad combo. Rivian Max Pack EPA Data (document shows 141-142 kWh usable battery)
Not in the winter. I got 2.04 mi/kwh in my R1S with no aerodynamic limiters on a cold 200+ mile drive last night and a max pack wouldnât have changed anything. I'm in Moab and Rivians are pretty common out here. I'd imagine the lift kit, off-road bumper / winch, and skid plate combo could be in high demand for those that aspire to tackling somewhat more challenging trails. I doubt the Macan EV will be that cheap given the prices for new Taycans. The base RWD Taycan starts in the 90s. It is also an 800 V platform. The Audi is still 400 V. You do realize you need to mount the tires in the beadlock ring for them to function right? And then they are no longer road legal. Real bead locks are overkill for the Rivian simply because it lacks lockers and other basic off road equipment like the ability to run 37s or take a winch... -
