The fire was out by midnight central time. Assembly plant not affected and there were no injuries, thank God. This is from the news website the link for which is posted just above, and here:
A question, risen by the post on FB. Which is worse for the company, Plant fire or vehicles catching on fire?
A member of the Rivian Group on FB said that the "False/Fake news" are harmful and cause damage to the company and the EV industry.
I said that car batteries catch fire is was worse than a small part of the plant catching fire....
"Plant on fire is way better than vehicles catching on fire.... And here, the latter was the case. I wish it was a small part of the plant and not the vehicles. So the fake news actually helped here...........
Today they catch fire in the plant's parking lot, tomorrow in your garage."
They don't know the details yet. Unless you work there no one can get close enough to know for sure. This is how everything get blown out of per portion.
Glad to hear if was 'just' some vehicles, and didn't get into the plant. That could have been a catastrophe if it had. As a shareholder, I woke up a few times last night, dreading what I'd read this morning... it definitely could have been a lot worse.
