I'm in the process of getting insurance quotes for my anticipated R1S delivery. My current insurer is State Farm and my current R1T policy is with them. From reading about forum members here who have already taken advantage of the Rivian/Nationwide New Car Replacement Plus coverage, I asked about this coverage for both my current R1T and upcoming R1S.
It unfortunately cannot be added to the R1T. A quote from the agent:
It is not available on the R1T. We have a small window of time from the purchase date to get that added on, usually 6 months from purchase.
Just an FYI to the community who are considering this coverage option.
