Yep, it started doing that this morning. Thanks for the input folks.Mine pops up on the left of the drivers screen under the consumption graph.
If you have an iPhone you need to go into the Bluetooth setting on your iPhone Bluetooth settings and in the Rivian Audio that is connected enable show messages.
First, let me preface by saying I run several calendars on my Android phone. They all show all events on each calendar, so it doesn't matter which calendar I open, I can see every event. However, this is visibility on each calendar, all events do NOT reside on all calendars. When I go to my Google calendar management and uncheck the boxes next to all of the other calendars, the Google calendar events unpopulate, because they're not really on that calendar. And this is the issue for the Rivian Assistant, it doesn't get visibility permission to see the other calendars. If I go to an event on my Samsung calendar I can easily change it to a Google calendar event and the RA will see it. But if it is on my Samsung calendar, no matter how many little boxes are checked in the Google calendar settings, the RA won't see it. So, for me, any event that may involve driving gets moved to Google. It still shows up on all of my other calendars, but lives on Google. I can even create it on my standard Samsung calendar, I just have to assign it to the Google calendar before I hit save. Not really any exta effort, now that I understand what is happening under the hood, so to speak. It’s my personal calendar.
I deeply understand how this works and have been involved in calendar integration development. This is literally about my one single personal Google Calendar and a personal appointment in that calendar. I’ve rebooted the car and will test again. After the update, I have also lost auto-locking. Hope you get it sorted out. Just sharing my experience to the group at large as I initially thought that if I saw an event in my Google calendar, then it must be there. Not so. Maybe it will help someone else. Sorry your issue seems to be more complex.I deeply understand how this works and have been involved in calendar integration development. I also used Amazon Prime Music and now I use this work around. Open the amazon music app on your cell phone. Next use blue tooth in the Rivian music window and choose your iPhone as the source. Next activate the Rivian camp speaker blue tooth. Play what you want from the iPhone through the Rivian sound system but need to control the music with your iPhone. You can switch back and forth from Rivian Assistant to Alexa as well in your settings but can not use them both at once other than as I outlined above. Pretty significant oversight not to have Amazon Music as a choice in the apps listed in Rivian assistant.. Should be easily fixed in a soon to come update.Quite a few posts on this. It is an absolute MISS by Rivian for Amazon Music alone....
I've done this and it works, but it's a huge workaround....and my wife, definitely isn't interested in those hoops. Spoiled by, "Hey Alexa play my favorites, or play ....." Hopefully a fix is forthcoming..Workaround is to install Alexa on your phone. Play music over Bluetooth. You can enjoy both Amazon music and use Riv assistant.
We don't miss Alexa. It was terrible for navigation, and couldn't do what Rivian Assistant does.Ok so I did latest software update enabling Rivian assistant. The problem is that it cancels out Alexa app.
You can’t switch from one to the other!
Rivian you have to fix this problem!
Thanks for the confirmation of the issue I saw of events from another calendar being seen in Google Calendar but not seen by the RA. I now just duplicate the events within Google Calendar and that works.Hope you get it sorted out.
