To be fair, that's the way they look (to me at least) in all pictures. I get that it's a look -- it's just not one I'm fond of, especially on a vehicle with off road pretensions.

I don't need my R2 to look like a "donk."

I guess I'm not part of the norm but:

Midnight and Launch Green are tied

Halfmoon Grey
Forest Green

Wouldn't consider anything else. All Black Crater Interior

I have my order invite, but I'm delaying until Coastal Cloud interior. I live in Central TX and don't have the garage space to park. I'm not getting a dark interior car with a glass roof in Texas.

Current plan is Launch Green, Coastal Cloud, 20" ATs (going to see about swapping to AS immediately)

In all exterior color choices, interior would be CC. Never been a fan of dark interior.

Rivian really needs to offer Canyon Red, Compass Yellow in addition to the bland colors.

1) Canyon Red (not offered)
2) Boreallis (in few months)
3) Compass Yellow (not offered)

All other colors are meh, and would not select R2, if I were shopping for one.

Edit: adding interior color choices that are not offered - why not....
1) Deep red/Burgundy
2) Tan/Saddle

Why only BC or CC

Borealis w rich camel or cognac would rock.

Ran across a couple of Rivian engineers driving an R2 to Palo Alto today. Launch green looks good! They let me sit in it and play around and showed me around the vehicle. I found it to be very comfortable.

I asked them about cruise control "resume" function; they weren't sure how the R2 handled it. I hope my suggestion makes it into a release

Yeah I basically got it narrowed down to the "colors". I figured it's the performance trim, might as well get a fun color! I thought I was going black crater but after seeing it in person, I'm leaning coastal cloud. The contrast makes a huge difference in making it feel more premium.

I read somewhere that paint shop can have max 10 colors in production (?). If that’s right, does a color get nixed to accommodate Borealis? Meanwhile I’m hoping for Limestone or some other light color next MY.

Both - black, white, silver, HMG
1 - red, Rblue, Sblue, Fgreen (+2 soon)
2 - cove, Lgreen
