R2 Color Ranking

As order emails come in, what is our ranking of the R2 performance colors? For me, it all depends when it would become available as I'd want one sooner rather later. All things being equal, here is my ranking:

Borealis (with Coastal Cloud)
Forest Green (with Black Crater)
Launch Green (with Black Crater)
Catalina Cove (with Coastal Cloud)
Glacier White (with Coastal Cloud)
Half Moon Grey (with Black Crater)
Midnight (with Coastal Cloud)
Esker Silver (with Coastal Cloud)

Also added what interior I'd go with next to each for fun. Would likely go with the 21s for most but the 20s would look good on the Glacier White and Forest Green.

There's already a poll created on this question, but I say Launch Green every day, even on Sundays. All we need is Forest Green interiors to make it perfect.

I'd go with the silver and put that money saved toward a wrap color of my choice. Having said that, may have to go with Half Moon Gray as I live in Half Moon Bay. And of course, the coastal cloud interior.

Order exactly how you want it, not what gets delivered fastest. If you "Needed" a car you have bought something else, what's a few more months to even a year to wait? The higher vin will be better dialed in. Its $55-60K, which isn't cheap, don't jump into anything just because its new shiny and has the hype

I have an order invite since last week and I'm itching to order every day...but gotta be patient for forest green and coastal cloud. My order will be in the second they appear in the configurator in August.

It's not going to be my long term car, so I'm okay with getting my second or third option. This is going to be my daily until the Scout, next Gen R1 or R2X/R3X come along. If I were planning to keep it for several years, then 100% would wait on the Borealis. Or if they had Red Canyon, in which case, I'd probably keep it until the wheels fall off.

I certainly don't need a car, but do miss having an EV as a daily driver. The R2 is the best out there right now for the price IMO but if I end up waiting too long, may end up going elsewhere. Landscape is changing quickly on the EV world and don't want to be always be waiting for the next thing.

Logical? No. Financially sensible? Even more of a heck no. Just how I rationale it.

...I'll also say it seems like you change cars a lot. I tend to keep my vehicles a long time which is why I lean towards neutrals more. Catalina Cove is adventurous enough for me haha.

Actually, I do keep my vehicles usually 80k miles or 5~6 yrs. The current Model 3 has been an exception - its been an excellent daily driver and while its 8 yrs old, it has less than 75k miles so its getting real close but I've missed getting rid of it in time before the battery warrantee ran out this month.

The other vehicles I'd mentioned were mostly added vehicles rather than changes. They were bought for our kids or as a weekend vehicle. We had 4 drivers then and now only two of us - still 4 vehicles. Daily drivers for each of us, my weekend toy and a spare when kids visits or leaving it in a long-term parking.
