Hi all,
Has anyone seen any aftermarket products to protect the rear windshield on an R1T from getting damaged or broken from skis on a ski rack over the truck bed? I would love to find a clear silicone rubber "bumper" strip, similar to what is sometimes used for sharp countertop edges or for wall protection from doorknobs, etc (see example image attached). I'd like it to be clear so that it minimizes obstruction of the view out the rear windshield, and roughly 4-5" tall X 40" wide to provide good protection from skis and boards. Ideally it would attach by a static film-type of adhesive that could be easily removed and then replaced as needed.
Anyone seen anything like this on the market? Or is anyone like EV Sportline, TWRAPS, Abstract Ocean, or other Rivian aftermarket vendors interested in developing this?? I'd be happy to share more about my idea if interested. I think it would be a great way to protect that expensive windshield from damage.
Thanks for any feedback!
