I started a chat this morning and requested shop access. Customer service said they would try to request access but it wasn’t guaranteed. Later this afternoon I got access! Already snagged a Glacier white with ocean coast. I wanted dark rims but I can easily go after-market or powder coat. Thank you @R1Serenity and others.

Did my test drive on 5/3, got shop access 5/9, found a gem 5/10 and completed all steps, and took delivery today! Absolutely ecstatic! And all my Rivian gear including charger arrived 5/11!!

Original estimate delivery was April - June 24.

I just picked up a LE vin 43xx. Hopefully it isn’t a lemon as it seems vins are in the 9000 range now.

That’s great.
Worried mine may have had production issues or something. Looked through forum and auctions and seems most in my range were delivered Feb/March.
Can a forum regular remind me of all the changes
1. Meridian sound system
2. Air pump for suspension
Both March changes I believe
3. Driver’s safety improvements
Don’t know what date that changed
4. New subframe parts, more welds?(may be part of the drivers safety)
5. 12v batteries in frunk and under dash along with 12v plugs (random date change ~ March)
6. Anything I’m missing?

Does anyone know if you can back out and get back your shop access. Trying not to be ungrateful but also don’t to have to wonder/worry my very expensive vehicle had issues from the start.

Pretty sure it said something about "not going back" and losing original order by accepting the shop vehicle config. I hope I'm wrong but those words gave me pause before hitting button.

Just a quick THANK YOU to this forum & thread. Without you, I wouldn't have known to ask for Shop access. The first time I asked I got the standard response that it was only available for the earliest pre-holders. But I asked again today via the customer chat (with a "fleet specialist"), and now just a few hours later I'm completing the purchase steps for basically my exact pre-order configuration! So thanks!

I'm a 11/2021 reservation holder in Denver. I recognize there are others before me in line without as much luck.

Thanks! The VIN is 8900, and yes, it has the All Terrain upgrade. I guess that means it's a few hundred dollars more than my pre-order would have been, but the prospect of having it for the summer (rather than my orig. estimate of October-December 2023) is worth it to me.

Sorry you're having to go through this, doesn't feel good spending such an amount, yet, having this feeling.

This is the disadvantage of knowing/learning too much, hope you get some clarity soon.

Thanks for mentioning the above. I was in such a rush to not lose the one I found I just hit confirm. I was wondering what I agreed to!
