Citroen is still successful abroad. Currently owned by Stellantis and making cars for the European and Asian markets.
Aware they are still alive and kicking. They survived (more than once) but not thriving. And speaking of the brand, I'd love to see a BEV revival of the Citroën H van, corrugated panels and all.

So what actually happens if you put the truck in tallest setting, but a jackstand under it, and then hit the button to lower it?

An Rivian suspension engineer told me they have too much droop travel to do the citroen tire changing trick.

Turtle mode?
In case it was actually a serious question, I tested on my S. Doesn't drop far enough. First dark picture was in highest with the jack just kissing the slider.

Rivian R1T R1S R1's fancy suspension has been outdone 1000009439

Rivian R1T R1S R1's fancy suspension has been outdone 1000009440

Rivian R1T R1S R1's fancy suspension has been outdone 1000009441

And that front corner after taking the jack out. It clearly emptied the suspension.

You quoted my joke about turtle mode, so I'm not sure which thing you were going with. I also don't really get the photos. The thing I'd try is tallest setting, put a jack/jackstand under there, then lowest mode/kneel. Will it suck up the tire? And/or as the rest of the truck leans, tilt it up?

Citroen had a similar anti-sway to Rivian decades ago as well. There are/were other threads here a couple years ago. Reports were that the car that featured the tech beat "Acura NSX and Ferrari's" around some corners. But was an economic and perhaps maintenance failure at the time.

I've not actually tried this in my LR4 or my R1S but looks easy peasy!

Citroen is world famous for that suspension... question is what lasts longer? Suspension built with 60s tech or 2020s tech?

Will the rest of a Citroen outlast it? Or even the tires?

This thread makes me wonder if people don't know how common air suspensions are for SUVs and trucks. There's really nothing special or fancy about it.

Also, it's fine to lift a wheel off the ground using the lower control arm on virtually any vehicle with any type of suspension. The advantage doing that is that suspension droop isn't a factor when using the lower control arm. The wheel starts lifting off the gound immediately because the suspension is basically not affecting the lifting efforts.

I thought the same until I tried to lift my wife's Mini Cooper from the control arm. That was a ~$750 mistake IIRC (this was ~15 years ago).

So what happened? I've literally lifted hundreds if not thousands of vehicles under the control arms without incident. For any that look fragile whatsoever, it's best to lift as close as possible or directly under the control arm mounting location, so where the bolt/bushing is located. I cannot imagine ever causing damage doing that unless the control arms are made of cardboard.
