It might be. I read that Rivian was working on something. Our is a 22XXXX and picked up in May. It doesn't slide really bad, but it does. My iPhone 14 Pro has no issue charging but my wife's 13 Pro Max you have to move it around a little.I'm confused; is the pad just extra finicky for some(or a lot of) people? Or, was there an updated design to the charging pad on newer vehicles?
My pad is made of really grippy rubber, and my phone doesn't budge a millimeter while driving aggressively. I have a newer VIN 27xxx if that matters.
I would buy that!I designed this on my laser and cut it out. I like it, but the wife still uses the USB cable. The litle rectangles are for another piece that connects to it to keep it from sliding.

I have an Otterbox case and it hasn't had any issues. My only issue (before I made my holder above), was that it would move out from the charging area. But the charging pad still sucks a$$ though... If you have any sort of case it cripples the charging speed. Many have swapped to an aftermarket unit. I highly suggest the Adventure High Tech products. Exceptional quality and support Apple OEM MagSafe pucks for wicked fast wireless charging.
I like it too but have you consider making not as long so you can still use the slot on the top? I will pay for a few cans one of those Auburn breweries on a weekend. I stopped by on a recent trip to Loon Lake. You can PM me if you are interested.........just pay for shipping and a can of beer......LOL
While you see the phone is charging, do you actually pay attention to the rate of charge? I have very thin cases and I was getting MAYBE +10-15% charge on a 60 minute car ride. My phone wasn’t doing anything other than existing (no steaming, calls, etc.)I have an Otterbox case and it hasn't had any issues. To be honest, I don't know and really don't check. When I leave my house to go to work or come home from work my phone is already at 100%.While you see the phone is charging, do you actually pay attention to the rate of charge? After swapping the charger, I get 1%/min at a minimum.
