Driving in the PNW with all the forest fire smoke right now in the Rivian is difficult as the car doesn't allow you to keep recirculation on whether hvac is on or off. I have to look down and tap recirculation every 5 minutes. Please include this in the next update. TIA Rivian!

This. Road tripping two weekends ago and driving across the Cascades resulted in a lot of checking the HVAC to re-enable recirculation in the cabin.

I totally agree that it should be a setting that stays.

The only issue I have, is that in the Pacific Northwest sometimes it's not the smoke but the smell of reefer... You know who you are...
I do believe it's still smoke 😂

If I disable auto in the climate settings, then the recirculating seems to latch. At least until the car shuts down for a long time.

Good to know. I hadn't thought of that.

We had a fire here in CO a couple years ago that turned the entire sky orange with heavy smoke for a week. I truly thought the end was near. I wish clear skies for all of you in the PNW.

They cleared up a bit yesterday afternoon, with a deluge of rain in the forecast to knock it down. Our house is currently under an extreme water advisory due to the near zero rain we've had since June.

+1. I was having this same thought yesterday. Even worse with pet mode you can’t even temporarily flip to recirculate, or so it seemed.

Good news though, I just had to drive up the mountain and the air cleared right up.

They might do this because the truck is so air tight they might think you might suffocate with the recirc on for more than 5 minutes lol.... would make sense because it is so damn hard to close that last door 😂
