PAAK unlocking at home even when disabled….

Anyone else experiencing this? PAAK randomly started unlocking while at home even though it’s disabled at home (it’s been working fine for months).

This was one of the first symptoms of my AXM failure. The system no longer realized I was at home.

I close the app on my phone when I’m going to be in the general vicinity of the truck but don’t intend to get in it. With the app open the recognition distance sometimes varies from 20’ to standing next to the truck and having to manually unlock via the app. Given that unpredictable response I find it easiest to just close the app.

Kept happening to me. I disabled it completely. Wish Rivian did not try to re invent the proximity key feature. I don't see how they can ever get it right, with such a wide range of phones.

It's one of the, of not THE, central control modules for the vehicle. If it fails completely, the vehicle is inoperable.

I've found the easiest way to prevent PAAK from needlessly unlocking the vehicle at home is to disable Bluetooth. It's easy to turn off and on from the lock screen and doesn't require messing with the Rivian app.
