brb, going off to hit all my local Tesla Superchargers while already at 90% charge to lower their score.
Microsoft copilot"s got you....

In a bizarre twist of electric vehicle (EV) rivalry, a Tesla owner was reported to have called the authorities after catching a Rivian owner in the act of giving the Tesla Supercharger an "F" rating on the Rivian's exclusive charging network app. The Tesla owner, who prefers to remain unnamed but is characterized by a distinct aura of electric elitism, argued that the Rivian owner's low grade was "an act of outright sabotage." When law enforcement arrived, they discovered the two EV aficionados locked in a fierce squabble over amperage and charge times. "This is about honor," the Tesla owner proclaimed, "and I simply cannot tolerate such blatant disregard for our unparalleled charging infrastructure." Meanwhile, the Rivian owner persisted in drafting a critical review, lambasting the charger for its "utter lack of rugged charm." The situation escalated until the officers intervened, proposing that the two demonstrate inter-brand solidarity by charging their vehicles in tandem. This peculiar confrontation has ignited a fiery discussion across the nation regarding EV charging station decorum and the ethics of public charger grading.

Cool - an update for a part of the car where no one is 99% of the time.

And we're still horizontally scrolling through Spotify artists so our eyes are off road for the max amount of time.

Surprised people aren't complaining they don't have their adapters yet. I don't need a software update every month . I need a quality update when it is ready, period end of story.

I'd rather have smaller software updates more frequently. That way, if something in one goes wrong, its easier to fix, troubleshoot, or potentially, roll back.

Never said larger just that it doesn't have to be monthly. If they want to release an update that is quality I am happy. If the software isn't ready don't rush it just to hit a monthly target, that will lead to nightmares.

I would expect by the end of this year they will move to something like quarterly. There are a few items left like infotainment and side mirrors but once done then it will be bug fixes and refinements.

New to Rivian. Is there a rhyme or reason to the software version naming convention? I.e., 2024.07.03 is now updating to 2024.11.02 … what do the numbers signify (since they don’t appear to be sequential)? Thanks in advance for any insight here.

I hope that the rear screen will show something linked to navigation. It would be great if the ETA was listed back there so my kid MIGHT stop constantly asking “how much longer.” We flew across country a few weeks ago and he was glued to the map showing our progress and our ETA. Please Rivian. I’m begging here.

According to the interview with Wassym this is one of the features on this recent update.
He said they called it "are we there yet"

The second number is the build week of the year. So the update we are getting now is the build from week 11 of 2024. Note that it's the build week not the release week. Usually release is around 4 weeks after the build week. The last number is if there were minor revisions.

Rivian usually has a new build every 4 weeks so going off their previous cadence the next update would most likely be 2024.15

It's so impressive how full of ideas these cars are. Kids are going to love this stuff in the back seat and the charger rating system and building that into the planning functions is fantastic.

I've kind of held off on commenting but when did the middle of the month become "OMG! I'm not gonna get an update this month!!!"?
