The best kind of correct though.Thank you.
Nice job not quoting what I actually said.Thank you.
The vehicle manufacturer has to enable sharing the data with CarPlay for it to work. I know the Ford Mach-E has this available. Check the Kia app to see if it has it (or check with the Kia forums to see if they have info on it).Actually I am not seeing any charging options in Apple Maps. Do you have to turn something on, or change a setting somewhere? I know I have seen/heard of EVs with CarPlay doing this but could never figure it out in my EV6.
Who is this partner?
No, no, no. That would be Amazon.https://www.mapbox.com/
I wouldn't agree with the other posters assertion of "the absolute best partner in the world" though.
They are the largest owner of the company, with the most to lose/gain from their success, they aren't just a customer. It's not a stretch by any means. They may be the owner in some possible future scenarios.I was guessing they were referring to Amazon, which is a real stretch to think Amazon is letting their IP go into the truck.
Amazon owns stock but I haven't seen any evidence they're involved in the navigation solution. No, no, no. That would be Amazon.
You seem to be in every thread I've been reading the last few days being super obnoxious. What's the point?Apple maps does but CarPlay does not - CarPlay just mirrors the display. If CarPlay could do it natively it wouldn't need a phone.
So, while I'm being pedantic, I'm also technically correct.
ETA: My response made more sense before you changed your reply
What was the issue with the Madison EA station at Walmart? I'm planning on using it on my trip up north on Thursday. There is a whole other story about charging at the Madison Super Walmart, but that’s a separate issue.
Thanks! I try to travel during off hours so hopefully it won't be crowded. The Stevens Point Hyundai chargers have me worried the most at this point....for one thing there seems to be a lot of EV's needing charging at that location, so we had to wait for an opening. Also, of the 4 EA stations there, only one actually provides 350kw. so if you don't get lucky and find that one, you will be charging for quite some time. Good luck and safe travels.
