I'm not stressed about summer travel. I've changed it to Fall. Below photo for illustration only.We keep talking about this, but A2Z is the way to go. Don't stress about your summer travel.

Plus, they didn't even get to all June '22 deliveries with this most recent—and second ever—batch of adapters. 2024 is already half over. It'll be a miracle if they get through all '22 deliveries by Xmas. If there isn't supply from Tesla... there are no adapters to send.Very true. Best policy is consider it a gift that may not ever actually happen and when it does it is like Christmas morning. Certainly figure if you are about to buy a new Rivian, if you want to access the Tesla charging network, it's either be prepared to wait, or go with an unapproved 3rd party adapter if comfortable with risk.
Come on. In the world we're in today, that would get at least as many angry posts as them saying nothing. Saying nothing means most people don't think about it at all. Sending a regular update to people would just remind everyone about something to mad about. An occasional update like “please be patient, we are now shipping adapters for vehicle owners with shipment dates of XYZ” would not be too difficult.
Right. People would be complaining about the "nothing burger" update. The adapter is a gift. Not an entitlement. It's not a part of the Monroney sheet or the bill of sale.Come on. The ramp will need to be impressive for sure....For what it's worth, I spoke to someone at Rivian last week, and although he was not able to help expedite an adapter for my summer travels, he did note that himself and his team have been notified that all adapters will be shipped by the end of August
The only way I can see this happening is if Tesla stopped all production work on Superchargers and focused on pumping out adapters 24/7. Plausible, since Musk slashed Supercharger expansion plans. But, I'm not holding my breath. It isn't just Rivian owners waiting for their adapters. Ford owners are too. July is already almost half over and Rivian has only gotten to some of June '22 deliveries. For what it's worth, I spoke to someone at Rivian last week, and although he was not able to help expedite an adapter for my summer travels, he did note that himself and his team have been notified that all adapters will be shipped by the end of August
Sorry but the person you spoke to seems clueless. There's no way there's some 60,000+ adapters being produced and shipped in the next month. For what it's worth, I spoke to someone at Rivian last week, and although he was not able to help expedite an adapter for my summer travels, he did note that himself and his team have been notified that all adapters will be shipped by the end of August
Dude just get the A2Z pro -- so simple.I took shipment of my R1T in February of 2023. When Rivian asked to opt in for the free NACS Adapter (late March), I responded immediately. I am doing a bunch of travel in August and am counting on having that option. The fact that Rivian support has ZERO clue as to where I sit in the queue is maddening. Rather not but an aftermarket adapter but with a shipment estimate I could at least make an informed decision.
I just got the A2Z and have used it this month and last - works great and also I'll have a backup when the Tesla one arrives.I took shipment of my R1T in February of 2023.
