Has anyone used the Tesla Maine auper
Charger? Tesla and Rivian sites don’t list it but Tesla chat has told me it’s open to other EV s ? Would like to hear from someone who used it prior to banking on it working

I would say don't trust the chat - go with what is on Tesla's map or what shows up in your vehicle.

Plugshare shows Medway, ME to be a Testa-only station. It has outdated hardware that prevents it from communicating with other EVs.

Never trust chat bots fully. If you set up your Tesla app user profile as a non-Tesla user, with adapter, it would show you which sites are open to you. Even if you have a R1 with a NACS charging port. And that’s because Tesla’s system isn’t aware that MY26-on Rivians has it. Also, your R1’s nav would only show you ones you can use.

@mrmack, the Tesla chat is telling you that it's a V2 Tesla charger. NONE of the V2 chargers can charge a Rivian. Don't trust the AI

The Rivian app will show you all the Tesla chargers that you can use. The Tesla app will show you the same info. Both say NO, you can't use the Medford, ME Tesla charger with your Rivian.

This demonstrates the technical immaturity of these systems. Only v3, 3.5, and v4 chargers are compatible with non-Tesla vehicles. Basically, anything with a charging rate of 250 kW or greater.

Thinking of taking a drive up today, from Bangor I can make it there and back easily. Would be nice if it works up there. I’ll let u know if I do go.

Already made clear in thread this is not a non-Tesla compatible location. No v2 Supercharger has that capability. Regardless of AI hallucinations. Only v3 and up have ability to emulate CCS1 and SEA J3400 (non-Teslas with NACS charging ports) protocols. It will not work no matter how much you wish it. And not all v3 and 4 are open for business to non-Teslas. The ones that are, are result of their business decision.

Supercharger wiki has a table of all versions, with photos to aid visual ID: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Supercharger
