Is there any way to know when a map based pin re: a new adventure network charger is actually planned for? Specifically seeking info on Montpelier, VT and Burlington, VT as they are linchpins in my most frequent roadtrips.

Both those locations have DCFC by other providers. Not sure why RAN for those locations would be a priority.

I can’t speak to the rationale, only responding to their current and planned locations map. I’m assuming there is an interest in having a well spread network for Rivian owners given the premium that comes from using Tesla superchargers and the lack of reliability so many other DCFC’s face.

That’s a very useful map! I hope it’s maintained well. I’m bookmarking it!

FYI with the pause in all government spending (and calling out NEVI specifically), the current administration is going to do everything possible to stop EV adoption, including supercharger installation. So any proposed charging site that includes government program funding will now be delayed indefinitely.

While that is true of the NEVI funds, the government cannot stop Tesla or EA or EVGo or any private company from building charging stations. And now that there is some judicial intervention it might not be paused after all. Going to be a crazy few years.

Yes, I specifically mentioned sites that depend upon government funding will be delayed indefinitely. Of course private companies can do as they please. Judicial intervention just puts everything on pause, which in practical terms means no money goes out until the case gets advanced to SCOTUS, for the eventual expected result in favor of the idiot emperor. If you think the current judicial pause will result in funds being distributed I've got some property and/or a bridge to sell you.

TL/DR; Government funding for supercharger sites is dead. Long live the queen.

Yes I understand that it's dead for now but I don't agree that it is dead indefinitely. The president doesn't get to choose on what gets funded, that's Congresses job. So I guess we will see what happens. There still seems to be work on NEVI funded sites according to supercharge.info.

Right now we don't know exactly what is going to happen so it's pointless to speculate.

Agree to disagree. Congress and SCOTUS has shown zero tendency to push back on the fascist's desires. For the republic's survival I hope you are correct!

I believe NEVI funds that have already been distributed to the states to disperse can't be clawed back. So all the funds listed here:
https://driveelectric.gov/state-plans

Obviously 2025-on plans are definitely at-risk.
