I wonder how many Rivian reservations also had F150 Lightning reservations and may cancel if their F150 comes in first? Might clear up the back half of reservations and lead to a sooner Max Pack delivery timeline.

Based on other threads of folks communicating with CS we will get an email this Friday telling us that the new delivery windows will be sent out in the end of October. I am optimistic Max Pack will happen. It beats F150 by a lot of miles, particularly for towing. I am hopeful for first half 23. There cant be many of us early max packers left as so many people switched to large to get their trucks s00ner and they said max was only 20% of all original orders.

I have nothing to back this up, but I think max packs will start being delivered in 2023. They are simply a larger amount of the same cells they currently use So there is nothing stopping them from making them right now other than Rivian wanting to deliver as many regular packs as possible first.

Home grown motors would help Rivian eat the margin they’re losing on Max Pack prices for pre-March orders. Only, their new motors aren’t scheduled to be rolling off the line until 2024, late 2023 at earliest.

It's almost certainly a guess. For charging the max pack in particular becomes amp limited with 400V charging.

A number of items could included in their next electronics update, including a higher power 120/240V inverter option and the winch. I hope the max pack is not paired with new motors. Tesla was forced to build motors because their desired vendors would not cooperate. But the Rivian Bosch motors seems solid.

Ok, my first post on the forum. Just got off a chat with customer service and "Ashley" specifically confirmed that Max Pack trucks are currently in production. Also confirmed that I should expect an email "by the end of September" (i.e. tomorrow) with an update on what to expect in October, when they release the next batch of delivery windows. So I guess I'll get an update that will update me on what the next update will be....

I will believe this when I see it. No one else has ever confirmed even hearing of a Max pack test vehicle. Plus I'm not aware of anyone with a max pack having a 2022 window.

Most likely scenarios:
1) you are trolling us
2) "in production" is Rivian-speak for we just built our first max pack test mule and a non-employee might see one in 2024
