Matte or clear screen protector??

I put on the matte version. Fingerprint aspect is much better than no protector but I find it much worse in terms of glare. It reflects the sunlight much more spread out making much of the screen unusable. Factory screen has anti glare coating that reduces sun glare to just a dot.

1000% matte, but get a good brand like Spigen. We have matte on my Tesla M3 and my wife's Mach E GT and will be doing the same on the R1T.

FYI, Spigen is in the process of developing a matte glass protector for the R1T.

I have a TG screen protector on my phone but I've had a matte plastic screen protector in my Telsa for years that's worked fine for preventing fingerprints and blocking glare. I can't see why I'd specifically need a TG screen protector in the Rivian.

For me, it would be for touch “quality”. I hate how the plastic protectors feel — I won’t put one on my screen. I’d consider a tempered glass protector if it went edge-to-edge since they feel better to use. They also protect better against impact damage.

Makes sense I guess, I have one on my phone so I get the impact thing.

Do you have your truck yet? You'll see when you get it. The dust and glare make the center screen unusable at times.

Did you cover driver instrument cluster as well?

I got the matte ones as well - love them. Had to bump up my daytime brightness a bit but that's it. No finger smudges anywhere ever. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
