mapbox MapGPT?

Just saw the Electrek article about Hyundai integrating mapbox's MapGPT for navigation. I sort of wonder if Rivian could/would do this or if it would conflict with Alexa.

Given the massive accuracy failures of ChatGPT and other AI large-language models combined with potentially fatal consequences of navigation errors, that’s gonna be a strong no from me dawg.

I don't think the whole Alexa thing matters for Rivian.

I for one look forwards to telling navigation "No, I don't want to go that way" and having it reroute me to the way I actually want to go.

I also look forwards to chiding it for doing stupid things like making me take an uncontrolled left when there was a controlled left option.

I don't see any of those as examples though. The examples the site gives are for ho-hum things people do need, but that I don't really care too much about.

I would love for the integration though as peace of mind that those people could get the navigation they needed with minimal distraction.

Hopefully it allows users to report errors in the navigation.

I would like to be able to:

• tell it I want to go a certain way
• reject a reroute
• tell it what is wrong about the directions it gave me
• give voice feedback on a particular DCFC (i.e. "Alexa, this EA station is FUBAR, avoid it for a week." Or similar.)

I would like MapBox to crowdsourced data like WAZE and tell me how long I will be in traffic, if there is an accident, or police reported....heck, just give us WAZE.
