Spotted an Amazon delivery van in south Seattle yesterday:

30a TT-30 RV outlet at the campsite. I had a TT-30 adapter for my Tesla Mobile Connector from a previous road trip, so I used that with a Lectron Tesla to J1772 adapter.

Did you notice a higher charge amp rate on 120v with your adapter? I have seen others post that connecting a tt-30 to the 14-50 plug allowed them to charge at a higher rate on the 120v than if they had simply connected the 120v plug directly. Hope that makes sense. Trying to get this out while at work!

Yes the TT-30 had a higher amp rate (it was a 30a plug) and I was getting considerably faster than a normal 120v outlet. Note I was using a Tesla adapter to a Lectron J1772 adapter - I don't have a TT30 pigtail for the Rivian.

There wasn't a 14-50 plug here so I can't vouch for that.

Interesting it says "Powered by" Rivian. Why not just the Rivian name? It is a Rivian vehicle.

Is that to distinguish it from the Amazon brand?

If the van just said "Rivian" would someone confuse this van, with AMAZON in giant letters on the side, as being a Rivian company vehicle? As opposed to a vehicle built by Rivian?

I think it’s to distinguish the fact that it was a partnership and that they didn’t buy these vans just off the shelf from Rivian and apply Amazon branding to it. It’s different from say a company buying a bunch of R1Ts and slapping their company logo on them. No one else can buy these vans except Amazon, and they had a hand in how it was designed.

I wasn’t sure if we were still doing this…I spotted this R1S tonight in Punta Gorda, FL traveling southbound on US41 towards Ft Myers. Dealer plates like the compass yellow R1T that has also been spotted a few times in this area.

I have now seeing four launch green Rivians in the wild. Nothing else but LG. Strangely, two were in Charlotte where I do not live.
