I had been in an attempt to get myself to slow down. This truck is just too fun to drive hard.

In my family, we call that "Tesla Syndrome".

Unfortunately, there is no known cure at this time..

Rivian needs to implement a valet / teen driver mode that considerably dials back the power. Might come in handy in your situation as well.

I drive around in that mode in my Model X whenever I'm not towing (forget what Tesla calls it)
It's *noticeably* increased tire lifespan.
And I do not have anywhere near the self control to approximate it by myself.

I forget about the instant torque sometimes since this is my first EV and gun it sometimes without thinking about it. Kids laugh and think it's hilarious, wife not so much when it snaps her head back into the headrest without warning.

Usually I do it seasonally, but obviously it's not going to work out with the Rivian with as much as I drive it.

Some vehicles also just require it more than others because of camber and drive system ( FWD vs AWD).
