Issues with Alexa

Hi all -- Anyone else having issues with Alexa? I got my R1S a little over a week ago and have been unable to use Alexa. She's connected, and she'll acknowledge a command but then doesn't do the command. (i.e. "Alexa, play Taylor Swift" and she'll say "Okay, playing Taylor Swift on Spotify" or "Alexa, navigate to Costco" and she'll say "Getting directions to Costco.") But then nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, how did you fix it? I've already logged out and back in, and I've done a soft re-set on the infotainment system. And I've checked my Alexa app on my phone to make sure my accounts are linked and Spotify is set to the default music player. First world problems I know, but it's getting really frustrating not being able to do something as basic as auto voice controls. Not sure if it's an Alexa problem or a Rivian problem (but for an 80k car, everything should be working!!!)

Yeah, she responds when I have good Wi-Fi or cellular data. If the internet is bad, she just doesn't acknowledge the commands at all.

Alexa got bad with last update. Somehow they keep making it worse.

The infosystem reboot isn't a full reboot. Hold the far left and far right buttons on the steering wheel for about 15 seconds. it's a quick reboot and it'll likely fix this problem

Oh, okay, yeah, I've already done this twice, and it didn't fix the problem.

Yep, the Alexa button is there, and she activates when I press it or when I say "Alexa" or when I hold the left button on the steering wheel down.

And yeah, I had to switch my default player to Spotify on the backend because she initially kept trying to do Amazon Music, but I also usually say "on Spotify" as part of the command now to make sure. And she'll say she'll play it on Spotify, but then nothing plays. So frustrating!

.26 is the latest software. There are a lot of permissions you have to enable IIRC. Hard reset and another thing I would try...reinstalling the Alexa app on your phone. I haven't done too much with Alexa but she was a little trusting in the beginning. Finally now I can say Alexa take me home...and she will route me. For the longest time she would say "I'm sorry I don't know how to help with that yet"

Also, I think you can still try out Tidal for three months for $1 via Best Buy. Tidal is the best quality and I have tried all the different services. I like classic rock and country. Also, if your interested I'll share my custom EQ settings with you ?

I have mostly the same issue. Tarkus is 2 weeks old tomorrow & Alexa stopped completing any "Music" related request. She acknowledges the music command request but does nothing afterward. She will provide weather conditions & navigation requests (for the most part) but will not complete any music related commands. Version 26 loaded now & an update just popped up up this morning as available (I'm gonna wait & see/read other posts to see how good, bad or ugly version 30 update is) .
