When you star tracks at the desktop or iOS versions of your Apple Music account, or add songs to any particular playlist, do you see those actions reflected in the vehicle? For me, it looks like I have to sign-out at the vehicle (which takes a bit) and then sign back in, in order to see content refreshed. Wondering if it's the same for everyone else. Or, perhaps I'm "doing it wrong".

My playlists don't synch. An infotainment reset gets them up to date. I assume it is a buggy aspect of the Apple Music app on the Rivians.

I had a lot of issues even getting my desktop app to sync with the phone, sometimes even adding something to a playlist in general would fail. Try toggling the "sync library" setting in-app on your phone off and on again, that seems to have resolved my issues across devices.

does apple music auto play the song that was playing when you return to the truck for anyone? it doesn't for me, it forgets where it was, doesn't resume playback, kind of unusable currently and without podcasts working I'd still need another app, wish it integrated the podcast app then I would be comfortable getting rid of spotify as the audio is way higher quality on apple music

I have to log out of the app in the Rivian, and then log back in, to get the playlists to update.

I’m happy to have the integration (finally) and the improved audio. But the experience is subpar compared to the apple music experience on other devices. Perhaps rushed to market. It turns out curating a custom app integration is hard. A lot of energy going into some very small bites from the top chef.

While sound quality is better than Spotify, Apple Music is strictly music and never had podcasts. It doesn't appear to remember where you left off on a different platform. I'm in the same quandary.

Mine appear to sync without any additional steps. Last week I had added some of the Atmos songs others recommended and they were in my playlist yesterday while I was driving around.

Outside of Atmos and having the larger screen to work with, it's not the full experience you would get by using the Apple Music app connected via the BT app. You can't add a new song to a playlist, etc or rate music. But in past vehicles that had CarPlay I wasn't able to do that either via the CarPlay version of the app. Not much different in my opinion.

You can't add a new song to a playlist
I could be wrong. I think you can at least add songs to the "favorite songs" list. If you go to account settings (in desktop) there is a on/off toggle for adding starred songs to that list. To me it and Spotify have their strengths. And since I didn't have a big problem with Spotify... I'm leaning more in its favor. Subscription costs more, but it's nice having music and podcasts in one place.

Apple Music has never had the ability to pick up where you left off on another device. It's an often requested feature that has yet to be implemented anywhere. I am constantly switching my listening experience between my iPhone, my MacBook, and my AppleTV and they simply do not acknowledge the previous point of the prior device.

I do believe there is a form of music "handoff" between an iPhone and a HomePod, but I do not have a HomePod to confirm this. And if the HomePod does have "handoff," then it is the only example of this feature in the Apple landscape.

I had an interesting call today from Mica @ Rivian. I was having a lot of issues with my Free 90 day trial of Apple Music. I have only been Android since inception of the mobil phone, my problem with the App is:
Playlists only going to 50.
App does not go on when door is open opposite of Spotify.
Have to sign out and back in constantly etc...
Mica told me if you want the App to work properly you have to pay for it and not use the Free Version of 90 days.
Are the people who r having the problems using the Trial Version or is Everybody having a problem?
I will start paying now if that is truly the case.
Thanks,
