I was curious if anyone noticed this. I used to lose about 2-3%/12hrs (3-4 kwh) when parked overnight at work with gear guard on. After the update, it looks like I'm only losing .8-1.2 kwh/12hrs. I didn't see it in the patch notes, so I was curious if anyone else was seeing this while parked. Ambient temperature is up to the mid 50s compared to the mid 40s, which was the last time I'd bothered to look at the energy monitor. I feel like that's not quite enough to make a difference, but maybe you guys will correct me.

Cutting the standby drain in half would be huge otherwise, and I'm surprised they didn't mention it in the notes.

It's the opposite for me. I used to only lose 1 - 1.6 kwh every day. That's been averaging 2.4 since the last update. It looks like climate has been running while parked in my garage which has been where the increase has been coming from, according to the energy monitor.

I did notice a drain reduction as well but I thought it was tied to my 12v battery replacement. I will take a closer look and post my findings.

Dang maybe it’s just a fluke on my end then.

I’m working the next two nights so I’ll grab some screen shots as well.

Warmer weather will play a big role in phantom drain as the 12v won't need to be cycled as often.

We see these type of threads every spring.

My Gen2 lost about 6% over the course of 8 days at the airport, with Gear Guard on. Big improvement from before.

My phantom drain was between 1.5-2kWh per day. It is now 0.8kWh. This is better than what I experienced this time last year when I monitored this a bit more. Also, after a charge my SOC stays consistent for three days. See the gap in April where no data exists.

This is a noticeable improvement.

Some of the SOC staying consistent also likely has to do with weather. It was cooler here in the morning in Seattle. After parking my Dune R1S I watched the SOC climb while being idle.

Not much of a difference for me, but I have noticed PaaK is back to being as unreliable as it was prior to 2026. Whatever efficiency tricks they seem to be trying affect the truck's ability to wake up from a phone.

I noticed the battery SOC seems to fluctuate. See the pic below from Home Assistant. While sitting in my driveway unplugged the SOC goes from 78.6% at 9:45pm to 78.3% at around 10pm, a reduction which is normal but, it stays there until 5am this morning and jumps to 78.7%. Then it starts to drop again to 78.3% by 7:40am. And I won’t be surprised if it jumps back up again. I’ve seen this kind of behavior after a prior update a while back even with my previous battery. I believe this is Rivian trying to address vampire drain. To the driver all of the above % will appear in the vehicle at 79% over this fluctuation period. Not a big deal just an observation.

@Rivian Roamer does your app provide this state of charge metric?

0.5 kWh for 10.5 hours. I think this is the best I’ve ever seen it…

My 26 R1S is down to .5% a day since the last upgrade. I usually saw 1.2%. It’s been reliably .5-.6 since 2026.15.0.
