Mine did sound like it was the back seat too -- likely due to the location the sound comes out the back of the seat and is muffled by the seat bottom for the driver. This takes like 2 minutes- so it's worth a shot!
Dang just checked, no luck

my dash speaker cover has started to rattle though

Mine had that SC fixed it first try. I think they add some foam under the speaker grill. I've heard some people temporarily put foam or weatherstripping between the windshield and dash and it helped until their appointment.

Wait don't just pull....

Step 1, flip the little door down with some type of plastic tool, probably be ok with a screw driver but plastic is safer so you don't scratch.

Step2, there is a small torq screw to remove under that panel, remove that.

Step3, now pull straight out and it will slide off.

Update on mine after some more driving it seems the sound has been eliminated completely!

I have a somewhat siimilar issue but it’s not a ticking or rattle but sounds like a ball bearing or nut sliding back and forth. It’s so frustrating. I wonder if it’s in that slot where the seat slides back and forth.

Does this sound like the same ticking/rattling?

I brought it to the Council Bluffs (Omaha) service center and - despite the tech telling me on the ride along that he had never heard that noise before - they told me that this noise is not any worse than any of their other vehicles interior rattles and it is "in spec".

My passenger seat was ticking away when unoccupied. SC re-tourqed bolts but it didn't help. Investigated on my own and found the sound was coming from what appears to be a metal/rubber/metal damper or bushing under the seat. I applied some WURTH HHS Plus lubricant and the noise has been gone for weeks without reoccuring. I'm not a materials engineer, but I'd suggest against WD-40 as that's more of a cleaner than a lubricant. You probably want something plastic/rubber safe and I've always found the WURTH HHS to work well (again, just what I use, not sure if it's the "best"). Hope it helps!

Example and how to:
