How many that have no ties to Rivian or Rivian sub contractors have received their trucks exactly?
I couldn't possible know the exact number, but I believe it is at least 2.

But even if it's "2" it's only to language that indicates they have delivered to customers who don't work with or for Rivian. Which is not beginning to deliver to early launch edition customers is it?

I am confident that at least two vehicles have been delivered to Non-Rivian adjacent people. I am not omniscient, so I don't know the exact number.

I see Rivian has "Guides". Are they responsive with communication at all with estimates for those that have been waiting 3-4 years and are schedule for production in the coming months?
I would tend to disagree here. While it is true that there are several early pre-order holders who don't have an assigned Guide and, yes, the Guides themselves don't really provide useful details, they are primarily hamstrung by poor corporate communication policies and stale information. It's hard for me to say they aren't responsive when they are ready, willing, and able to provide any information they are given. There just happens to be a dearth of said information. Believe me, they are just as frustrated by that as we customers are...

For sure there are 2, there are several posts as well unconfirmed where friends have acknowledged receipt of vehicles.

That being said what would be considered more disingenuous, saying none when you know there are at least 2 or saying they are being delivered when it may only be 2?

I just haven't seen any deliveries to people who aren't affiliated with the company either as a direct employee or having consulted/worked with them. I'm honestly curious. Until they start delivering to early reservation holders - the ones we know here, who were told they'd have trucks by Thanksgiving, who have had reservations going all the way back to 2018, etc - I don't think it's really accurate to claim that they are now delivering to launch edition customers.

I can confirm that the owner and his spouse of the R1T in Bend, OR are not affiliated with Rivian. Although, I guess there's a chance that they have a family member who works for Rivian. But I'm somewhat skeptical.

Semantics. I believe the real question was about how helpful the guides are. The answer is “not at all”. In some cases, the guide program has made things worse.

I am an early Ford Bronco reservation holder (8/8/2020) with no assigned VIN after 560 days of waiting for a vehicle that was supposed to arrive in spring of 2021,
I am also rejected from the bronco. I actually got mine built beginning of December but ford wanted to build all the MY 2022 so they held many of the last MY 2021s and never finished them. So mine sat in a field somewhere when people with a 2022 got theirs. Ford doesn’t think they will ship until May so I bailed. I already had a R1T reservation so I bought a different vehicle until I get a rivian.

But honestly I didn’t bail on the bronco, I will just make 10k when it comes in.

Yes I know about iwantatesla. But I'm not sure that we can say he was in no way afflicted. I haven't seen the Rivian Stories interview. I'll look that up.

I'm just asking because I still think it's more accurate to say that Rivian is not currently delivering to early reservation holders even if they handed out 2-5 trucks so they could say they completed non-employee deliveries on their earnings call.
