I'll get exact measurements later this week. Head room inside camper is ~8 feet.
Can you adjust the height that the side doors open up? I want to mount a 270 awning to the side and don't want it banging against the supports when it's open.

I'm sure you could fabricate a shim or similar, but it's totally unnecessary. I've run a 270 on my campers since like early 2018 and the minor contact between an open panel and the awning frame is as much of a non issue as it gets.

Ok, topper measures 36 inches vertical from top of truck bed rib to ceiling. Camper is 39 inches. Our R1T is parked at LAX right now, but we'll measure clearance under open panels with customer installs this week.
I live right next to LAX be glad to measure that for you tomorrow lol!

Sorry, I meant the topper. I guess it would be useful to have the measurements side by side.

Thanks!
Ok, here's the Rivian camper panel height with suspension at standard. Will get Topper for you in a couple days but it should be about three inches lower.

Thanks for the measurements, both products look great. I have an order for the topper however, the camper is enticing. It would be great to see it in person. If there is any GFC owner planning to be in the Bay area-Sacramento-Reno area please let me know.

Good work team GFC!

Got my camper installed today in MT! (Charging on the way home now). Curious - for those that have gotten theirs and if they got the LED light kit - how are you planning to power it? On the one hand using the trucks 12v with the fact that the high voltage will charge the 12v seems better than an ICE situation - but given the known Rivian 12v failures it seems like a bad idea to tax it any more. Especially while out camping when a failure would be least desired. External battery pack that you change at home?

I use a power cord to an AC outlet in the bed connected to a 12V adaptor. This works fine for me as I always have outlets on to power a frig 24x7.

I’m running one of these because I wanted to keep it to a DC5521 connector and ditch that 12v adapter. It’s worked pretty good for $33.

And then you pop it out and charge it in the cab or at home? How much runtime do you get from that one?

I’ve only used it on an overnight trip, so I’m not sure about its total run time yet. I’ll try to remember to leave it on tomorrow and see how long it runs. I’ll probably just bring it inside and charge it before a trip. It’s nice in the Bay Area as a cheap option that allows me to use the lights running errands and not worry about my Jackery getting jacked. It came with a DC5521 Y cable, so it could be charged in place from the AC adapter or the 12V to DC5521 adapter that’s included with the GFC lights.

FYI: This video is mainly about how the presenter feels the G1-QT can do overlanding. And some info on GFCs future prototype and accessories.

Well finally getting to my maiden trip report with the GFC! First, I want to give a shout out to all the folks @Team_GFC ... such an awesome group of people and a pleasure to work with!!!

So the trip was a total of 1500 miles, taking the scenic route from Bozeman back to CO - efficiency was 1.72 mi/kWh vs my current lifetime of 2.0 over 22.5k miles. Not quite the 8-10% they are touting, but I chalk that up to the colder temps and the fact that I don't drive slow.

I only got 5 nights in the camper, but so far I'm absolutely loving it as it's a complete game-changer for my lifestyle - especially since the camper is improving with every lil add on! Temps were in the mid to low 20s every night and I was comfy with good bags + usage of an electric blanket for the first few hours - and NO condensation (even w/o the headliner, which is coming). Not sure how much bedding I'll be able to keep in the closed tent tho (probably just my summer bag) - the roof and siderails seemed to flex in my attempts.

Anyway... LOVE this GFC and super stoked for all the future adventures with it!!! ❤

TL;DR: GFC campers are fucking awesome... if you're thinking about one, GET ONE!!! 🤘

I bought that exact combo and we have the same color truck. That looks sharp. Excited to get mine in February.
