Rivian R1T Launch 4/22
At this point I'm more confident Rivian will survive than GM continuing EV trucks.
GM didn't survive the George Bush Great Recession, had to be bailed out. So who knows. But Rivian needs cash and sales and if tariffs slam is soon ppl will not be buying any Rs regardless of 1-3.

I'm not in here to promote Volvo's and dis Rivians, but the over the top cheer leading on here and trying to cancel people who have different views is absurdly immature. I was on a Rivian wait list for 2-3 years before launch and owned a low VIN R1T for 3.5 years. I still have more invested in Rivian stock than most. Rivians software had as many problems as Volvo with their EX90 their first launch year, including mine. I'm not going to bash Rivian here because it was a great truck, but it wasn't perfect and there were regular issues that I never experienced on any other car in my 60 years of existence.

Enough with the immature comments on here, you all sound like a bunch of 8 year old boys fantasizing about a car they can't afford.
Get off your high horse, dude. I remember reading one of your threads crying about the service center finding a nail in one of your tires and offering to patch it for $170.

Makes a ton of sense. After all, I bought an 85K dollar gen 1 and then traded it in two years later for a 113k dollar tri max but I can’t afford an EX90. Truly a big brained comment.

Rivians service in my area sucks sucks sucks. Worst of any. So yes I complained. If my reality is on a high horse than I love the view!

You can easily get EX90s with under 5k miles for around $60k ($30k less than MSRP), in the $40-50s for a bona fide lemon (which I wouldn't get because they have issues trading in or selling later). But the issues are basically the same, previous Volvo owners couldn't deal with the software not working well the first year - my Rivian would have been a lemon the first year too as I had to restart the software at least once per week back then. Many day trips were ruined by crap going wrong the first few years actually.

So I'm my opinion the majority of software issues have been fixed with the EX90 so if you're up for another new released EV you can buy them relatively cheap.

Rivians are great though, I enjoyed my 3.5 years with mine.

I know you think you're being clever but this forum has a significant number of users who are hired by investment companies shorting Rivian. Hence why the stock hasn't moved much in years. They manipulate the stock up and down, taking your money each time. And they manipulate this forum by overly attacking or pumping on responses according to where they want the stock to move.

I was on the forum Rivian Stories for the first few years until they slowed down. This forum has always been too social media ish for me, not real owners or even potential owners often.

Ok you lost me. You think investment firms hired people to come on this forum to bash Rivian to boost their short position by manipulating the stock. 😂

There are maybe 200 really active members on here. And I cannot imagine someone looking at this site to decide whether to shirt Rivian. And, if they are that savvy, they would know about this cabal of investment bank hired Rivian bashers.

Imagine what you wish, this is what those investment firms do. Not just for Rivian on here. Not to say everything on this forum is fake, not true at all. That's why I watched posts, many are from real owners with excellent insights.

But a lot of the behavior on here is just outright juvenile, which is off putting to say the least

I traded my R1T for a Volvo EX90 last month. The EX 90 is literally the most comfortable, quiet, luxurious vehicle I've ever driven by far. I enjoyed my Rivian but I think they are going to struggle as a company in this economic environment unfortunately. They should have moves to the lower priced R3 before the R2, the masses can no longer afford more expensive.
I was responding to your post.

Just going to highlight this comment, then everyone else here can go back and read your last 8-10 posts…
Discussing real issues is not bashing. That's the point of a forum. I have lots of positive things to say about my 3.5 years of owing a Rivian.
