I got one today also. Really did‘t expect to be in the first wave. So torn on what to do. The lightning looks great and from a company that’s made trucks forever, and has a local service network. On the other hand, definitely more of a cool factor with Rivian.

Tough decision. Might order and decide when it comes in.

Does the 84.9k include their markup? If so, that's some shit from Ford for not splitting out MSRP and their additional costs.

I'd simply get the Lariat, Ext. Battery and bed liner for $79,764 (very close to my R1T L.E. expense)

Just one more reason to go with Rivian. The dealership model needs to die a quick death.

I also reserved during the reveal, ford is full of it. Glad they pushed me to the R1T.

I haven't either. I haven't heard of a dealer getting more than 1 wave one order. I know mine didn't get any. Ford is just slowly putting orders through.

I placed 3 reservations right as the reveal opened. 1 of my reservations converted to an order today. Ordered an Atlas Blue Lariat. I’ll prob stick with my R1T for a handful of reasons, but my dad gets a new F150 every few years. He doesn’t think the range is enough, but might end up taking it. Worst case dealer will thank me for getting them one to sell at big markup in Wave 1.

I put my order in today as well. I configured it similarly to the Rivian and it's $80k. I'm sticking with Rivian, but with this year going the way it is, I'm hedging my bets. I can always sell the Ford for a profit here if it comes in this year.

Looks like E24 is their markup.

I'm switching to a dealership @SeaGeo suggested tomorrow, the 800# was closed by the time I could call.

I have already gotten the annoying Ford Dealership emails since my order went through. The lowest one quoted me $4k over invoice. I doubt I'll even buy the truck, but it's interesting to see what the various dealers are saying. Another reason why direct to consumer through Tesla and now Rivian is a better way to go. I hope I never have to walk in to a dealership again in my life.

So you placed your order already and OTHER dealers are contacting you? I thought it was through your chosen dealer?

@SeaGeo's dealer didn't get any wave 1 allocations, so now I'm debating whether it's worth the $5k to get wave 1 through my place. I can easily flip if I don't like when I get my Rivian in April/May (but really June, right?).

Also I haven't gotten any emails or calls from my dealership, which is actually one reason I've stuck them, lol.
