End of Summer Update? Still no delivery window

The bolded makes no sense to me. I can't imagine there aren't 53 people with earlier reservations and the exact the same configurations in the same localities.

I am expected a typical corporate response from Rivian but you never know.

I had my First Drive in May and apparently no correlation with a delivery date.
Same boat. Had my First Mile Drive in May but no apparent correlation with delivery.

To the person who wondered why we reach out to CS regarding delivery windows. If Rivian provided better communication about the expected timing of delivery windows, we wouldn't have to ask them about it - right?

They promised many of us a date this summer, and it's been a very silent summer.

One email from Tony saying "hey guys - hope you are having a great summer. We haven't forgotten about you and we will be aiming to get your updated delivery windows by XX September" would have probably saved countless hours of CS having to respond to that very question.

That is just common sense. Don't blame us for Rivian's lack of common sense.

Just spoke to CS. They said emails will go out by the end of Sept.

Oh we've heard before the end of the month plenty of times from Rivian. Good lord.

All in all...production looks like it's ramping up which is great.

I know that technically the "end of summer" is Mid September, but for most Americans we all feel that "end of summer" is end of August when kids go back to school.
I never received an updated delivery window in June, nor did I receive one in July, but was told by "end of summer"...
I only try to connect with my guide every 3 weeks just to make sure I'm still in the queue and I don't want to be a pain.

Is there anyone else with a 2018/2019 R1S reservation still waiting on a delivery window. Trying not to feel like the last kid picked for a team on the playground... but feeling a little left out ?
WOw--I would be calling, e-mailing and texting like mad!

I texted Customer Service shortly after placing our reservation this July, asking how often I should check my e-mails.


7/20/2022, 2:16:26 PM - Cordell: In all honesty, not very frequently in the near future. For reservation holders like yourself, as we get closer to fulfilling your reservation, the teams will email you a link to a configurator. Once you submit a configuration through that tool, it converts your reservation to a preorder and the teams will begin providing a more accurate ETA for that configuration. The earliest delivery possible for recently placed reservations is late 202


7/20/2022, 2:17:07 PM - Cordell: At the time you submit a configuration, if you choose the Dual-Motor or Standard battery pack, delivery of vehicles with either of those options would begin in 2024

on one hand Rivian cant win because if they say nothing people get upset, if they give a vague window people get upset, if they give a self-imposed timeline and miss it people get upset.

on the other hand, Rivian just continually fumbles comms. seriously. is RJ out of touch on this one, doesnt care or they all think its just too hard to solve? and its not just corp comms, its comms from CS, Guides, SCs.

comms is not easy, trust me i know as i work in this in the tech sector but come on. Rivian needs to do better. give them credit for improving some things but still a long ways to go.

I've asked Rivian about an updated delivery window and was also told the same - that it would be on my login by "end of summer."

Did they specify the year? This September or could it be September 2024 that they are aiming to get back to us.

Similar recent reservation here, assuming earliest delivery is late 2023 and most likely 1H24?

I just got off a chat on their website and was told they pushed back the "end of summer" update to "end of October." I clarified October 2022! I had done a similar chat mid summer and was told the update would come end of summer. Who knows. The goal posts are constantly moving.
