Nice job! Yours looks like almost exactly the same as mine. I also added a small extension for when the passenger seat is up.

Based on these photos I think I’ll be able to pull hinge pins on the folding seat to gain extra room for my Pyrenees. Hopefully that wiring loom for the heated seat has a connection that’s easy to access.

Is there an occupancy sensor in the rear seats? It might get upset if disconnected.

Would love the dimensions (build specs). I want this to put my travel kennel on. Is it 20” wide?

I don't have full dimensions, but the width is 18.5 inches and the length with the short seat down is 30-32" depending on how much overhang you want by the door.

thank you! That’s the width of the board or the clearance between seat folded up and Back of seat?

That's the width of the board which tucks under the seat back some, so the clearance between the seat back and folded up seat bottom maybe be a little less above platform surface (assuming you are trying to fit a crate), but with sloping seat still depends on exact geometry.

@BigginsCH can you post a diagram or template that you used to make this (with the seatbelt cutouts)?

I'll try and get a diagram/template posted. I made a few different versions inspired by what others have posted:

I also made an insert that just covers the underseat storage. This is a nice option in that I can actually fold the seats down on top of it. Works well when loading cargo that might imprint the seats/slide around. That said, the dog doesn't prefer it as there's significantly less surface area to stand on, and he slides around on any of the plastic surfaces.

For those who've made these, any good solutions to hold the seats in the upright position? I've experimented with a few designs and haven't been happy with the results. Trying not to inadvertently fold the dog under the seats...

I plan to put a kennel on the platform so that would hold the 60 side up.

would really appreciate the 60/40 dims, and the one that can stay in place!

Sorry for the delay.

Inlay - Approximate dimensions are 1150mm by 315mm.

The corner radius were made by taking corrugated cardboard and pressing firmly on the indentation of the underseat storage. I used that impression and trimmed it with scissors to create a template. I traced that radius onto 1/8" hardboard and then used a router to trace the outline. Test fit and trim as needed. My measurement skills aren't up to measuring that radius accurately, so sorry I don't have more clear instructions.

The hardboard at 1/8" fits fairly perfectly in the lip of the underseat storage to remain flush with the surrounding platform. I used scrap pieces of pine to both create more rigidity and retain the inlay in the underseat storage.

Folding overlay - Approximate outer dimensions are 820mm by 460mm for the driver's side and 575mm by 460mm for the passenger side. As a note, I created a 45* bevel on the back portion of the panel to make the fitment a bit better.

The cutouts for the "humps" are 50mm deep and the below picture will hopefully give you an idea of their placement. The holes for the pins (which are ultimately keep the pieces in place) are 20mm in diameter.

These are great ideas. Anyone using the only the 60% (with a person in the rear passenger seat) with a big dog? Think adult German Shepherd sized. Enough rough?
